When you’ve been diagnosed with cancer, it is likely that you will hear a lot of information from your healthcare team, with words that may be totally new to you.

It’s a lot to take in and you’re probably feeling overwhelmed by it all. But it’s important that you fully understand your diagnosis and the options available to you. It is a good idea to familiarise yourself with some of the terms that are commonly used by healthcare professionals when talking about ovarian cancer. This list is a good place to start, but be sure to ask your healthcare team if there’s something you don’t understand.
